Tailored wide-leg trousers with a high waist, front pleats and an elasticated back waistband, cut long so the full leg falls clean over a heel or a flat.
High waist with pleats
The waistband sits at the natural waist, and the front pleats keep the line structured rather than flat.
Elasticated back waist
The back of the waistband gives when you sit or move, while the front half stays tailored.
Full, straight-falling leg
A wide leg that skims over the hip and thigh instead of clinging, dropping straight to a long hem.
Smart at the front, forgiving behind
From the front these read as proper tailoring: a high waistband, pressed pleats and a leg that drops straight from the hip.
The back half of the waistband is elasticated, so the trousers give when you sit through a long meeting and come back into shape when you stand.
Long enough for a heel
The leg is cut long on purpose, so the hem keeps covering the shoe instead of riding up when you walk in a heel.
