Two flap pockets at the hip each close with a snap, holding keys and a phone.
Plain outside, patterned within
Closed, the jacket is a plain matte shell. Open it, turn the cuffs back or put the hood up and the woven check appears.
That is the whole idea: the pattern is there when you want it and out of sight when you do not.
Built for a grey morning
Drawcords tighten the hood down when the weather turns. A full-length zip closes under an outer snap placket, and the stand collar fastens with its own snap tab.
The body stays roomy enough to go over a jumper, and the hem sits at mid-thigh so the layer underneath is covered.

Over a knit and jeans it handles commutes and dog walks; over a sweatshirt and leggings it does the errand run.
